Two things

First; I forgot to say Happy Easter to everyone, so Happy Easter!

Second; a brief overview of the trip before I head to the airport.  Basically I fly out tonight, April 8, and I will arrive in Tokyo at approximately 5am local time on April 10 (4pm April 9 for eastern time zone) after a connecting flight in Los Angeles.

I'm not going with anyone I know, but I'm part of a 9 night Globus tour, presumably with other Americans.  We spend 3 nights in Tokyo, 3 nights in Takayama and Kanazawa, and 3 nights in Kyoto.  After that, I'll be all by my lonesome for 3 nights in Osaka, and I'm taking a bullet train back to Tokyo for the last 4 nights of my trip.  I'll arrive back in the U.S. between 7 and 8pm on April 26.

So all told, it will be 16 nights in Japan.  Hopefully I know enough of the language that the last week won't be a problem, but I'm not worried about it.  It should be fun!

I'm off for now.  About an hour before I have to be out the door of my apartment!
